ZTF is a kind of forming technology developed by Zhongtai Company in 2005, which absorbed advanced technology from both domestic and international, and then won “Technology Innovation Award” by China Cold Forming Steel Association.
1) Cut down roller changing time, breakdown section does not need to change rollers . And it can cut-down producing period.
2) Saving about 60% cost on the rollers
3) Release labor intensity.
4) Roll forming technology, the caliber is different and propitious for high steel grade such as X70,N80 .
5) The steel strip is bended more reasonably, to reduce the friction between the strip and roller, and also reduce the waste of the roller.
6) It is easier to restore and adjust roller.
Normally, we part the mills as forming section and sizing section.
The section before guild-frame is forming and the rest part is sizing section.
For ZTF, we divide forming section into breakdown section and fin-pass section. The part after the unit of vertical rolls is fin-pass section and before is breakdown section.
ZTF technology is used in breakdown section and only suit to produce round pipes.
